Carmela
1944 Italy
On a small island in the Mediterranean, the young Carmela fell in love with the officer commanding the garrison, who, after promising to marry her, left without giving any news of himself. The pain of the abandonment caused a very serious crisis in the girl, which left her mind distraught. After a long time, a new officer comes to the island and she believes in her madness, that he is her fiancé who has returned to her. The young man takes pity on the girl and tries to humour her so as not to provoke a new crisis, and his pity will turn into sincere affection that will slowly bring Carmela to her senses.
